Your Body Is Not Separate From Your Story

Your Body Is Not Separate From Your Story
For many years, we have been taught to see the body as something separate from our emotions, experiences and personal history.
We train the muscles, treat the pain and try to correct the posture—but often, we do not ask what the body has been adapting to.
The body remembers.
It responds to stress, fear, loss, pressure and the need to remain strong. These experiences can influence the way we breathe, move, contract our muscles and relate to our own body.
This does not mean that every physical symptom has an emotional cause. It means that the body, nervous system, movement patterns and emotional experiences can influence one another.
That is why the INHABIT Method does not focus only on the symptom.
It observes the person as a whole:
• The physical body
• Posture and movement
• The nervous system
• Breathing patterns
• Physical symptoms and health history
• Emotional patterns
• Lifestyle and current circumstances
The purpose is not simply to “fix” the body. It is to understand what it needs in order to feel safer, move more freely and recover its natural capacity for regulation.
When we begin to listen to the body instead of fighting against it, something changes.
Movement becomes more conscious.
Training becomes more intelligent.
And the body is no longer treated as the problem but as part of the solution.
Welcome to the INHABIT Method: a different way of understanding, training and inhabiting your body.
